The XIth Primarch

Number XI crashed into an ocean world, risking being drowned, he was saved by sea hunters and been raised by them. Living in a solidarity society of both humans and aliens, XI didn’t take much time to become the king of hunters. Later XI was found by the God Emperor and accepted to serve the Imperium of Mankind but not for a long, when he was accused of heresy for supporting a Craftworld in a conflict long forgotten, he and his legion were cast out from the Imperium by his father the Emperor to be forgotten just like his brother the Second.

Now thousands of light years away from the Imperium, XI fights his way through with his legion allied with the Eldars.

This is my attempt to create a concept for one of the Unknown Primarchs from the universe of Warhammer 40k.

I LOVE this image. its amazing in that you have captured a detailed character that is so unique yet somehow familiar - a character that is regal and almost a little roman or classical. Amazing. I love his face, the weapon, the armour and especially the stuff on his shoulders.

The newer Black Library / Horus Heresy books are starting to paint a picture of the lost primarchs so there is a possibility we may find out more in the future and rumours abound that this will be the case.
The the First Heretic some of the Word Bearers want to smash the capsule of the XI primarch to 'finish it now'.
In a Thousand Sons Mortarion warns Magnus that he would not be the first to be tempted to use the powers of the immatirium and intimates that the last time things ended badly.
Horus in one of the first books stands in wonder at the capsule of the XI primarch and thinks of the 'glories that could have been' before punching a hole in the capsule.
Leman Russ suggests he has been used as the executioner of the Emporer before which openly suggests that perhaps he was involved in supressing or 'erasing' the legions of the two lost Primarchs.
Most of the Horus Heresy books make it clear that the lost primarchs were lost before the Heresy.
Rogal Dorn in the Lightning Tower short story suggests that the two lost legions could have been his allies against Horus which argues against them being involved in heresy.
But somewhere else Rogal Dorn looks at the blanked statues of the two lost Primarchs (perhaps in the same story) and suggests that they could have been a warning of the heresy to come.

All very confusing!!

BTW - I name im Darius Leonida or Darius Mayde

He is both handsome and deadly. Something in him is just like in Fulgrim, but this primarch's handsomeness is of deadly blade.

Wow! very-lore friendly and amazing. I could see spirit stones and eldar sigils in there. Now I know GW didn't put in legions XII and II so that players could invent legions of their own, but I wouldn't mind this being canon.

What's his name? :)

Hey thanx :D :D
I agree, its a good opportunity for us to create and add to the universe of 40K.
Well I am really bad in coming up with names for my characters :P so this one has to wait, I will get back to this character and do another illustration for him.

Absolutley mind blowing, incredible design and attention to detail between the background and the image. Love the details life the bluffs of the shoulder pads :)

Thanx, I had it presented in the illustrator gallery in Dubai. I will get back to this Primarch and paint another image for him, and explore more in his back story and legion.
