Demon Hunter - speed painting by saint-max Demon Hunter - speed painting by saint-max
Greetings friends and followers

Wanted to let you know that I finally with the help of my friend Ehab, I managed to put the videos together and upload them to my channel.

Link to the speed paint video:

Unfortunately I lost the first 15 minutes while I was trying to change the file format :( . The last stages of the painting and the final touches are not recorded, but I still hope that you find this video entertaining and informative. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.
All C&c are welcome

I greet you) Can I ask, do you still write your drawing? As for the developing artist, they would have been useful to me.

Yes I do, well I rarely draw on my sketch book, but when I do and feel like coloring the sketch I do scan them first (although the end result could look totally different :P )

It really is awesome. It looks really ... time consuming, the way you paint, and repaint, and repaint everything. Every time I repaint something I'm crying because everything else is spoiled and need to change it. But you do it so natural : O I guess there is some advantages when you don't have lineart itself :D

Hope you do more videos :D

Glad you liked it. I rarely sit and do the whole painting in a one go, I usually leave it fora weeks just so I am sure that I am in the right mood to continue working on it. I learned to not get attached to my drawings (took a lot of time to get to that point. So now its kinda feels natural to through new ideas and even repaint the whole thing from scratch. I hate repainting faces thought :(
But to be honest, getting a well drawn line art would've saved me a lot of time.

I will be doing a new one soon ;)

Great painting! I really enjoyed watching the progress, too. Though I didn't really get the way you work with layers. Could you explain that a bit, please? :)

Glad you find it entertaining
The way I work with layers is really simple.
I start with my sketch on the first layer, base colors layer is underneath it, and I then start painting on a third layer placed on top of all.
Then once I reach a level in the painting where I know I am happy with, I collapse the layers and create a new empty layer and continue painting.
I prefer to have all my painting done on 1 layer. The only time I make more layers is when am not sure of the direction am taking.
I keep a couple versions of the painting so from time to time I see what progress I did and if the decisions I made actually work with overall painting.

Hmmmm I hope this helps clear things up. Let me know if you got any more questions :D :D
